Are you a budget-minded woodworking hobbyist wanting to step up to a spiral style thickness planer to handle hardwoods and figured stock? Then take a look at our 40100H-CT. While still being a hobbyist planer, our new model 40100H-CT incorporates our newly redesigned spiral style cutterhead utilizing 26 individual dual-sided cutter tips rotating at 10,000RPM. The new cutterhead design not only provides easier cutter tip rotation and replacement alignment, when combined with the newly upgraded dust chute design, tear out due to poor chip extraction is virtually eliminated. The 40100H-CT still operates as the 40100-CT, but you do not have to change out or rotate a complete knife. Only rotate or replace the individual damaged or worn cutter which results in enormous time savings. The 40100H-CT still maintains a feed rate of 26 FPM to keep your projects on time and boasts the same powerful 120 VOLT 15 AMP motor. All tools necessary for rotating or changing a cutter tip are included! Click here for planer comparison chart

Planer review February 1, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Kissimmee, FL
Received the ordered planer today, this is the 13 inch with spiral head HS cutters. Wanted to express my satisfaction and pleasure of it's operation. It's low noise compared to others, dust collection and accuracy of cut and corresponding reading on measure is very satisfactory. If you allow would also like to give some feedback back for improvement. The access for blades specially the corner ones can be improved by increasing the length of T key (star key) by another 3 inches. Secondly, if possible use metal blade cover. This will greatly enhance safety and durability of machine.

Throw away belt sander August 3, 2016
Reviewer: DanGin
Purchased the 40100H-CT last October and have used it on a variety of wood products; from white pine, cedar and Douglas fir to bird's eye maple and black walnut. Tried it out on rough cut pine first just to test it. After several effortless 1/32" passes I knew this was going to work great on my expensive wood projects. The walnut didn't need belt sanding. No planer marks on the wood that couldn't be removed with just a finish sander. Excellent product and easy, however time consuming, blade maintenance.

Great machine, and great customer service. May 1, 2016

Portable planers have become quite expensive, but don't really perform all that well.
Cutech has done something very interesting, that is engineer a spiral cutting head that works in a standard size portable planer, and make it affordable. After doing as much research as I could stand I found Cutech offered the best value, if indeed it performed as advertised. I received my 40100H-CT and started with old dry mahogany, 8-12 inches wide. It goes through this planer like butter with a super smooth finish. It doesn't complain about heavy cuts, though I try to stay at about 1/32 per pass. Great machine, and great customer service.

Cutech Planer April 25, 2016
Reviewer: chad greer from Lakewood, CO United States
I recently bought the economy helical head planer and I love how quiet and smooth it runs. Good weight to it and very solid. Caught a nail and chipped an insert within the first few passes. Very pleased with how easy changing the insert is compared to a straight knife planer. Will definitely be recommend Cutech!

Planer April 13, 2016
Reviewer: Rawson Beals from Port Charlotte, FL United States
"Somehow, I had ordered the jointer thinking it was the planer. But when I got it, it turned out to be the jointer. I called and they said to send it back. I got to thinking why don't I just order the planer. Very pleased with both machines. I've got both machines mounted on a flip-top stand. Thank you for two real nice machines.
