Home > Product FAQ, Info & Help > Getting taper cuts with your jointer ???

Some folks have called or emailed stating they are getting taper cuts when using their jointer even when the edges or faces started off parallel to each other. Keep in mind that a jointer is not made for machining all 4 sides of a piece of lumber. Also remember that rough cut lumber rarely has any 2 sides parallel to each other.

Tapering can be caused by the tables not being coplanar, or operator inexperience, and can get worse the more you machine it.
