Don’t let the price of this bench top jointer fool you! It’s geared to serve both budget-minded novices and professionals with limited shop space. With its newly redesigned spiral type cutterhead featuring 12 carbide 2-sided inserts you get a great finish and tear out is reduced due to better chip evacuation through its included 2 ½” dust port. The one piece 4 3/8” high by 19 5/8” adjustable fence can be tilted from 90 to 135 degrees with ease. The cast aluminum infeed and outfeed tables can easily be leveled if the need occurs. It has a 6” width capacity and 1/8” maximum depth capacity and sports 30” of total table length for those longer boards. At about 40 lbs, and with a 120 VOLT 10 AMP motor, it’s tough and easy to transport around the job site if necessary. Push blocks and the tools necessary for rotating or replacing the cutter tips are included!

Sorry, our 6" jointers are not available with pull out extensions nor Teflon coated tables.

Works well November 27, 2018
Reviewer: Tyson from North Dakota
Bought 6” jointer with carbide teeth. Works extremely well on shorter boards. Cut finish is very nice, nicer than my planner leaves. It is tricky to do longer boards (70”) likely due to my own inexperience.  If I had to do over again I’d consider getting the 8” for the sole purpose of getting the extensions in lieu of using homemade supports.  Overall service was good and I’d buy from them again.

Powerful addition to my little shop October 9, 2018
Reviewer: John from Florida
Read all the reviews before making the purchase and I was not disappointed..Packing was first rate, directions were clear, and set up a breeze.  Was jointing rough lumber in very little time. I gave 4 out of 5 only because I am a tough grader and I think this item could be improved with extensions. I was jointing 42 inch oak 2x4s from rough lumber and would have to be very careful on the outfeed. All in all though works like advertised and best purchase I have made for the $$.

Excellent results February 16, 2018

For a relatively light 6” jointer the 40160H-CT does an excellent job.  Light cuts work best.  The dust port attachment had to be modified to fit the 4 mounting screws.  Otherwise an excellent product I’ll enjoy for a long time.

Great product, great support January 19, 2018
Reviewer: D. from Naperville, IL
I ordered this as part of the jointer / planer holiday special.  Although free delivery was advertised as seven days, it arrived in two!  I set up both the planer and jointer and had a question on adjusting the planer.  Call to support was answered right away and I made the right adjustment to get a very accurate and smooth surface plane.  Both pieces work extremely well, and quiet too.

wow January 6, 2018

SO this is my first jointer to own. I read tons of reviews and did a lot of research before buying. I decided on this model for the cutting head/cutters, table/fence size and reviews I read. I understood that getting the fence right was supposed to be tough but it was not too bad. Got it spot on. cleaning all of the oil took almost as long as setting the fence. I ran some soft pine first just to test things out and I could not believe how slick the board came out on edge and face. I pushed thru 3x3 rough African mahogany and then 3x3 white oak. WOW. Really amazingly smooth. The cutting head does have a tendency to push the piece away from the fence and since my bench is waxed, I had to clamp it down. We will see how it lasts. This should speed things up for me tremendously!
