Salvage Lumber June 13, 2018

I have owned several straight knife planers and jointers. They do a nice job but the knives are a hassle to maintain and change. Now that I am retired I make a lot of things from used pallet wood. I occasionally miss a nail or staple in the old wood. Now if I hit a nail, I just replace a tooth, not the entire blade. I used to spend hours sanding the old pallet wood to clean it up and make it usable. Now I just run it through the planer and it is ready to use.
The other issue I had with my old heavy duty planer was the noise. I do a lot of work in the evenings when it is cooler and the planer makes less noise than the shop-vac I have hooked up to it. I also love the fact that the chips come out as chips instead of strips they don’t plug the shop-vac. I haven’t had it long enough to verify durability but it came with a complete parts list and any repair parts are supposed to be available from the Tennessee plant.

Game Changer! February 12, 2018

I researched as much as I could for an affordable planer that was also high quality. I ended up going with Cutech for a few reasons. The price was fair, the spiral cutterheads just seemed better than straight knife (and they are), and I couldn't find anything negative about Cutech tools. Two hours after I purchased the planer they shipped it and it arrived within two days on standard shipping which is top notch customer service if you ask me. The planer arrived packaged well and it was a breeze to set up. The cuts it makes are so smooth with virtually no snipe at all! Seriously consider this benchtop planer if you're in the market for one.

Fantastic little planer November 14, 2017

I just got this jointer as part of the spiral bundle that is offered and can say that I was pleasantly surprised when the unit got to me days earlier than expected. The fit and finish are what would be expected of a unit in this price range, but still a fine looking product.

This planer leaves a buttery smooth finish that beats my old straight-knife planer hands down, and it's quieter too! The planer required very little adjusting and comes close to fully assembled.

Cutech really has a gem of a planer here and with it coming in at or below the price of competitors, I'm in love.

Cutech 40700H-CT October 30, 2017

For the price, this unit is tough to beat! This is my first spiral cutterhead planer, and I can see no road back from here! Will never use a straight 3-Blade planer style again, as I was always getting a small chip on the blade and it would show on my boards from that point on unless I changed one of the whole straight blades.  Now with the indexable cutterheads, you just rotate the small 15mm blade, and you're set.  Saves time and money.  Thank you for making such an affordable spiral cutterhead
